Booster Lube & Tires is a certified Motor Vehicle Inspection Station, authorized to perform mandatory safety inspections for all passenger and light-duty vehicles. We ensure your vehicle meets Ontario’s minimum safety requirements and issue a Safety Standards Certificate (SSC) once it passes inspection.

As part of the DriveON digital vehicle safety inspection program, all inspections at Booster Lube & Tires are now completed electronically. This modern digital process improves accuracy and consistency by capturing detailed results and photos, while reducing paper waste and minimizing opportunities for fraud.

Inspection data is collected using secure tablets and uploaded automatically, giving you digital access to your inspection results for licensing, registration, and enforcement purposes. Paper certificates are no longer provided—results are issued as a digital certificate number.

Please note: A Safety Standards Certificate confirms that your vehicle met the required safety standards on the date it was inspected, but it is not a warranty of overall condition or future performance.

You need a Safety Standards Inspection and Certificate when:

• Transferring ownership of a used vehicle

• Registering a vehicle in Ontario that was purchased or brought from another province, territory, or country

• Completing an insurance inspection

• Registering a rebuilt vehicle
